Day 1 of Phase 2 on the Dream Drops protocol.

Day 1 Phase 2 LunchMy experience on the modified HCG protocol thus far has been positive.  Yesterday was my first day of the reduction phase, after 2 days of taking drops and loading. 

I didn’t like the loading phase.  For the first 2 days of this protocol (it’s not a diet) one takes the drops 3 times a day and eats as many calories as they can.  You’re supposed to eat junk: pizza, Mc Donalds, ice cream, cookies….anything to load your fat reserves (whatever that means).  I tried to skip this phase and go directly to the reduction phase, and boy did I get a butt-chewing from Dr. Chandler.  It’s a protocol, and must be followed. 

Day 3 (which was day 1 of phase 2) was easy.  I had gained 4 pounds during my loading phase.  I took pictures and weighed myself.  I hated what I looked like and set my goal to lose 25 pounds in 40 days.  Forty days down the road is my wife and my 17th anniversary.  I want to look “killer” by then.

I was not hungry.  I had a slight headache.  My meals were big – plenty of food.  Dr. Chandler encouraged me to weigh my food as opposed to counting the calories.  I did so.  I believe this protocol will work and I’ll be able to stay fit. 

Day 1 of Phase 2 Lunch:

Corned-beef trimmed of all excess fat, 5 strawberries, an entire bunch of kale made into chips.

Day 1 of Phase 2 Dinner:

2 Melba toast crackers, shrimp, cucumber, tomato, and an apple. 

Lost 2 of the 4 pounds I gained.
