At 5′ 5” 150 lbs. I am at the high-end of the normal range for BMI. My goal is to get to the low-end of the scale and then if I creep up a couple of pounds, I’ll be happy.

To date, I have lost 17.8 pounds, and have 13 or so more to go to meet my goal.

Pictures to follow in a couple of weeks.

We don’t call our meal plan a very low calorie diet. We use a portion control meal plan (PCM). The basic formula is up to 4 oz. protein, vegetable, fruit, and salad, with a list of “free” foods that can be consumed with the meal, or some between meals. There’s never a reason to be hungry on Dream Droppers. Between the food that you eat, the drops, and the positive reinforcement you are receiving from losing about a pound a day, it’s amazing how much energy you have and how you don’t crave food.

I love helping people to lose weight. As a chiropractor, I teach my patients that stress is the ultimate cause or major contributing factor in up to 90% of all health problems. Even carrying around and extra 10 pounds causes a tremendous stressful situation to the mind and body. Most people are carrying around much more than an extra 10 pounds.

The Dream Droppers protocol offers tremendous hope for getting rid of a lot of unwanted, toxic, belly fat in a relatively short period of time. It’s safe, and doesn’t involve any drugs, a starvation diet, or surgery. Most people lose anywhere from 10-35 pounds in their first 40 days. They get very excited because the weight all comes off from the normally hard to burn areas such as the abdomen, legs, butt and arms.

The Dream Droppers protocol is a 3 or 4 phase protocol involving sub-lingual Dream Drops, an antioxidant super juice, and a portion-controlled diet. Most people lose between 0.5 and 1.5 pounds of fat a day while on the protocol.

Some of the other benefits of the protocol include the fact that most people report that they rarely experience hunger, they have incredible amounts of energy, and they sleep better than they have in years.

The protocol provides hope for long-term success by resetting the appetite, metabolism, and body weight set point. Many people are frustrated because of plans they have tried in the past which provided a temporary loss, followed by immediate weight gain. Most people do not experience that on this protocol.

There are no toxic drugs or fat-burners on Dream Droppers. The drops are a combination of amino-acids and herbs designed to curb the appetite and eliminate any symptoms that might otherwise occur on a portion-controlled diet, such as hunger, fatigue, or headaches. The antioxidant juice provides the equivalent of 4 grocery bags of nutrition in one 2 oz. shot. antioxidants are tremendously important to neutralize the effects of free radicals and support detoxification. The drops enable you to lose the weight, while the juice and high quality food that you are eating on the program restore your body to health.

For more information about the Dream Droppers protocol, contact Dr. Scott Little via email at info@dreamdroppers.com. He would be happy to share his own success story on the program.

I just wanted to share that 16 days ago I weighed 167.8 pounds and this morning I weighed 153.6. I lost 14 pounds in 16 days.

I haven’t been hungry. I have more energy than I’ve ever had, but never feel “over stimulated” like if I were on caffeine pills. I’m eating more quality food than I’ve ever eaten.

I feel the drops are doing what they are, supposed to do, namely curb my appetite, prevent fatigue, headaches, or mood swings.

I wake up at 6:00 refreshed and ready to start my day – however, I stay under my down comforter and flannel sheets until 7:00.

I feel like I am maintaining muscle tone, and my bioimpedence scale would indicate that I’m losing fat, but not muscle.

I haven’t been under 160 for as many years as I can remember, and a good amount of time I was nearly 170.

I remember going to my pediatrician for the last time and him telling me that I weighed 127 and that if I stayed there for the rest of my life I’d do just fine. Well, I don’t think 127 would be a good weight for me. That would be jockey weight for me. Come to think of it, that’s probably what I weighed when I was in horseshoeing school in 1986.

Anyway, I am so grateful to Dr. Mike Chandler for helping me to get on this protocol. It’s been the easiest weight loss program I’ve ever done. I think the key for me is how fast the weight is coming off. My jeans are starting to fit pretty lose.

My goal was 25 pounds in 40 days. I’m fairly certain I’ll accomplish that or more. I have it in my mind I’d like to get down to 137. That would actually be a 30 pound loss from my high of 167.8.

Happy to be a Dream Dropper!

There are 4 basic personality styles as described by Marston. Everyone has a dominant personality style in a given situation. Most of us are blends of the 4 personalities and our personality can change in a given environment.

Our personality style influences everything we do. This post is about the “S” personality style.

The S’s make up the majority of the population. In fact, 69% of the population are S’s. S stands for steady, secure, and stable. They are loyal, friendly, and people-oriented. That’s the good news. They are very resistant to change. They like the status quo. They do not like large groups of people, but really enjoy the company of a few.

They often want to get in shape to please another person. Their greatest fear is the loss of security. Their doctor/trainer/coach must help them to understand that losing weight and getting in shape will help them maintain their security.

They are not driven by personal achievement, as much as they are maintaining security. They do well on a health and fitness program when they have a small group of friends to do it with. When we work with an S, we always like to find a few others to form a “power team.” Their success comes when they work together and provide encouragement to each other.

They need a doctor/trainer/coach/power team to keep them motivated. Unlike the D, they are not tremendously internally motivated.

S’s are very resistant to change. They have set patterns of what they do, what they eat, and what they think. Often their resistance to change keeps them from doing new things. They do well on Dream Droppers after they have accepted the fact that losing weight and getting fit will add to their security, and the program has enough structure and repetition to serve the S well. They like consistency.

S’s like Dream Droppers because the program does not require them to get too far out of their comfort zone. They aren’t going to a crowded gym with intimidating co-eds and equipment. They are able to focus on taking their drops, taking their liquid nutrition, and making their meals.

The Dream Droppers program might as well have been designed with the S in mind. Helping these folks does one’s practice a lot of good because once they get great results, they will refer like crazy. Just don’t make the mistake of thinking that they are driven by achievement or “reaching their full potential.” They are interested in enjoying a better life experience, but really, they just want to be loved and protect their security.

There are 4 basic personality styles as described by Marston. Everyone has a dominant personality style in a given situation. Most of us are blends of the 4 personalities and our personality can change in a given environment.

Our personality style influences everything we do. This post is about the D personality and some of the unique characteristics and challenges this person will have while trying to lose weight or get fit.

D stands for dominant, director, decisive, demanding, and driven. D’s are self-starters, goal-oriented, competitive, strong-willed, decisive, ambitious, and independent. They are often leaders, bosses, and CEO’s. They are busy, driven, and constantly on the go. They lead very stress-filled lives.

Stress, eating on the run, a demanding work and social life can take a toll on the D personality. Time is a precious commodity to the D. They are multi-taskers. In fact, they are very task-oriented – not as people-oriented.

They have challenges when they are trying to lose weight, get healthy, and get fit. They are prone to eating fast-food, so they can get to their next appointment. They may eat out a lot and consume portion sizes and calories beyond what is needed for health. They may attend numerous social gatherings where alcohol, sugar, and fried-foods prevail.

When coaching a D for weight loss and fitness, we often encounter the hurdle, “I don’t have time to exercise.” To that we may respond, “Which fits your schedule better, working out 30 minutes each day, or being dead for 24 hours a day?” The good news is that most of our Burst/Surge/Hiit workouts can be completed in 20 minutes or so and don’t require going to the gym.

D’s, as we said above, eat out a lot. They need to be coached to make their meals at home so that they have lunch with them and don’t need to go through the drive-through. They need to be encouraged to show restraint at dinner parties and social gatherings. They need to get results quickly so they can realize that no food or drink tastes as good as being fit feels.

If they are engaged in exercise, their program needs a certain level of competitiveness to keep them going. They may be competing with themselves, or a part of “Biggest Loser-type” of challenge. They are very goal-oriented, so if they have a big enough “why” they will stay on course. That “why” needs to be something that rewards or benefits them directly.

Their greatest fear is that of being taken advantage of. We make sure we they understand the science behind what we’re recommending for them and help them to understand that their time, energy, and financial committment will pay off with huge dividends.

Luckily, D’s are naturally driven to continuously improve. As coaches for D’s we just need to help them to understand themselves and their obstacles and help them to create strategies to overcome these obstacles.

The study concludes that one of three scenarios are occurring: 1) pediatricians aren’t screening the kids for overweight and obesity, 2) pediatricians are neglecting to have the very important conversation with the parents, or 3) the parents aren’t listening.

I often times say that there will be an entire generation of parents in their 70s who will experience their 40 or 50 year-old children having their limbs amputated due to late stage diabetes – and they will have to share much of the blame.

That sounds cold. That sounds cruel. It isn’t politically correct, but it’s the truth! If you are fat, and your child is fat, you must do something about it.

You need to learn to exercise the right way. You need to learn the difference between good fats and bad fats. You need to understand how devastating sugar and refined foods are for you and your children. It’s poison!

Childhood obesity is serious. Parents need to be parents and take control of their own health and the health of their children. It’s not going to be a pleasant day when they start losing their limbs.

Potential Benefits of Whole Body Vibration:

Tones and strengthens muscles

Increases bone density

Increases the production of human growth hormone, serotonin, neurophin, endorphins, and testosterone

Decreases the fat-storing stress hormone cortisol.

Decreases cellulite

Tightens the skin

Lowers blood pressure

Increases fat burning and metabolism

Increases blood flow and cardiovascular stimulation

Increases flexibility

Increases mobility

Improves coordination

Improves balance

Stimulates the lymphatic system

Assists in detoxification

Relieves joint and back pain

Can relieve headaches

Promotes stress relief

May help to prevent or help osteoporosis and osteoarthritis

Helps peripheral neuropathy

Promotes weight loss

Improves depression and state of wellbeing

Helps people with Parkinson’s disease

Helps people to recover from surgery

Whole body vibration therapy consists of standing on a platform which vibrates many times per second. The vibration causes involuntary muscles to contract and relax very rapidly. The client can benefit by merely standing on the plate with their knees slightly bent. More advanced use involves performance of exercises and movements while the machine is on. Many claim that one can accomplish similar results in 10-minutes on a vibration plate as a 60-minute workout.

We are very excited to be able to incorporate whole body vibration into our chiropractic, rehabilitation, and training protocols.

So, you’re driving down the street and see the fire department on the scene of a house fire. Then, one day you see the same fire department on the scene of a car fire. Then one day the guy up the road is burning leaves in his back yard and it gets out of control. The fire department is on the scene. In each of these scenarios, there is a fire, and the fire department.

The obvious conclusion is that since the fire department is always on the scene of the fires you’ve seen, they must be the cause of the fires. Make sense?

The fire department is not the problem. The fire department is the SOLUTION to the problem.

Cholesterol is similar to the fire department. It isn’t the problem. It’s the solution to the problem.

Eating foods high in cholesterol does not cause cholesterol plaques and high cholesterol. Cholesterol is an essential component of every cell in the body.

Hormones are important, right? Hormones are made from protein and cholesterol.

75% of the cholesterol in your body is made by your body.

Cholesterol is the raw material that makes hormones.

Cholesterol covers nerve and brain cells and allow electrical impulses to travel through the nervous system.

Cholesterol is also a healing substance that heals damaged, inflamed, tissues in your body. This is where cholesterol is like the fire department. Cholesterol doesn’t just appear on the scene for no reason – just like the fire department doesn’t just show up for no reason. The cholesterol is found where tissues and arteries are damaged, cracked, and inflamed. It’s the bandage, the body putty.

The more sugar we eat, the more inflammation, and arterial damage occurs – therefore, the more cholesterol is produced and found in the arteries. If you have a city with a lot of fires you need a larger fire department. The more tissue damage in the body, the more need for cholesterol. Cholesterol isn’t the enemy any more than the fire department is the enemy.

In my opinion, avoiding cholesterol in the diet is a bad idea. Avoiding sugar, refined foods, toxins, and other substances which pollute and destroy the body are to be avoided. But foods like whole eggs, butter, whole milk, and other foods high in cholesterol are part of a healthy life style, not the cause of health problems.

My conclusion: support your local fire department and show gratitude towards the men and women who put their lives on the line to save your life…..and take every precaution to prevent fires from occurring in your home. AND, eat whole foods high in natural cholesterol to supply your body with essential raw materials to make hormones and healthy cell membranes. Don’t blame the fire department as the cause of fires, just because they are present to put out the fire, and don’t blame cholesterol for causing the tissue damage that your body creates to put out your internal fire.

The first time I heard about putting kale in a nutrition shake, I thought it sounded horrible. Then I gave it a shot and now I have a kale shake at least once a day.

In a blender I put:

kale – about a cup; frozen berries; spring water; plain yogurt; a raw egg; and 2-3 packets of stevia for sweetener. I might add a little whipping cream, half of a banana, an apple, some flax oil.

The important thing is to blend it for a good 2 minutes. It’s going to taste good, but you want to make sure all the kale gets chopped up real well – otherwise, it’s a choker.
